Wonder, how long you will be allowed to honestly express your views before you will have to drop on your knees to apologize for your honesty..
I do not always agree with what you are saying, but I am admiring the passion of your words, even if they sound controversial to me.
I am really puzzled with the direction our country is deviating to. Illegal immigrants may openly demand theirrights while citizens and the legal residents may not even openly ask “what rights?”.
I am still listening to your show on my way back home (wish I could call, but driving in the rush hour traffic on I-95 requires utmost concentration).
I enjoy your show and you have my highest respect for the openness of your views and for the firmness you express and defend them. Especially now, when so many show people were practically forced to retract their words and views in order to survive in the culture of the political correctness supported by the current Administration.
From Deborah Sciortino at debster4170aol.com : Hi Lisa, I heard that I can enter to win for the day at Pierre Hotel! I love listening to your show on my way home every night after work! I love it!!!
You hit every topic to discuss. Its so enjoyable to listen to you! I would love to meet you as well!
: I must tell you, I am a fan of your show! I have not liked talk radio for several decades and always avoided it, but capture my interest. Such a variety of current topics keep me tuned in. Today's conversation about the Sound of Music brought back my own memories. I went to an all girls Catholic school in the Bronx. The nuns were thrilled with the movie when it came out and we were marched through the streets of the Bronx to one of the fabulous Bronx theaters on Fordham road. Picture it just like that series of Madeline books! My mother had also been in a convent prior to marriage and children. As a child you do view things through your own life experience. I had no knowledge of World War II or the Jewish religion at that time, but the movie was wonderful and you captured the magic in your discussion today!
I'm in total agreement with you about 95% of the time. So here is an example of the rare 5%. Of course it's just a matter of taste and not anything of substance, but my family LOVES 97% Hebrew National hot dogs!! Mike 8-26
8-26 That little speech you gave on the Wars is so true. We went there for nothing.. I lost a 32 year old son in 2003 came out off the Theodore Roosevelt sick. Died he spent three years. My son was a Jew, and was treated like a jerk... No respect plenty of Muslilms on the Ship, and hated all jews as well... Thats another story.. Which I will write to you about...
8-26 Just tuned in. Great job. Heard while driving, on CBS news, a women wrote an article in one of the NYC papers making the point that wearing a facial veil is a political rather then religious statement. I want to find article. Any idea which paper?
Great show Lisa! Thanks so much. You did a service today! Plus the expansion phase is a time consuming painful ordeal! Can't figure out why anyone would still choose this route! Xo D.
Lisa I heard the first part of your show today. You are a natural! Great job. Move over Rush..the thinking middle is making a resurgence! And stay tuned in to WSTC/1350 for the very best in talk radio with Lisa! ;) -________________________
Hi Lisa, I loved your segment on 'Huckabee' - you and Jill are really funny. I've always admired Tony Dungy (he's the real deal, like you). As I was watching, I kept thinking how proud "Mommy" and your Dad must be.
This past Tuesday I happen to catch a portion of you show on WNLK, which I do whenever I’m in the car between 4-6PM. You talking were about the current Mosque issue in NYC and its relative location to “ground zero”. You were more or less making the point that the site selection, in spite of many other more appropriate locations, just didn’t make good “common sense”; a term you use frequently and one that I most definitely agree with. A term that seems to have been lost in our daily life.
Your remarks, especially relating to the sensitivity of others, prompted this email in with hope eliciting the same outrage I heard on Tuesday by making you aware, if you aren’t already, of a very local issue involving a planned Mosque whose developers seemingly could care less what the impact will be on local residents.
(continued) We may not be able to stay true to our American principles and still stop construction of this Mosque. Probably, we will need to tolerate it like we tolerate burning our flag. We, however, may still have an advantage and win without going to war. Islamists are pouring into our country (not the reverse) because they like our culture. For sure their second generation daughters will not tolerate their parents' present values. We will have won because they will all, eventually, celebrate Thanksgiving.
I agree with protection of religious freedom, as vile as this construction might seem. Your solution is peaceful and elegant, but, I believe, flawed. Those building the Mosque have already had the opportunity to be polite and sensitive. Clearly they have no intention to be so.
We are in a religious conflict; probably the worst kind of conflict as history is witness. To make matters much worse there is a huge cultural component to the conflict (treatment of women being the most flagrant disharmony). I think even peaceful Islamism wants its religion to prevail; like all other religions, on some level, want (missionaries seek this, no?). And demographics are in there favor even for those who are not militant (with four wives bearing children we cannot compete).
After having read the comment by Aviva and the link provided "Justice For A Book" I am shocked and mortified! Amazon.com are perhaps the largest book seller in the world and they allow Anti-Semitic comments on their pages? May I suggest you do a show on this Lisa. The fact that it is your book is more reason to do it. Thank you for your time, Besth
Lisa, Hello. I wanted to begin by saying I am a follower of your show and enjoy it very much. This evening a story was brought to my attention by a friend. She and I are both fans of your sister, Jill Zarin, as well. Seeing it was in regards to your book,Secrets of a Jewish Mother, I felt I should share it with you as well as your listeners. Below you find the link to a blog that is written about the horrible treatment that Amazon.com is allowing to happen in the review section of your book. The writer of the blog is very informative and has a wonderful idea of how to help. I plan on doing all I can as suggested by the blogger. Hopefully your followers will join me. Perhaps you should take discuss the story on your show? Thank you again. Hope you are having a wonderful summer. Aviva Blog Link: maggiereynolds.wordpress.com/.../...

Unfortunately- nothing surprises me anymore- but this is ridiculous.
Yes......let's talk about the victims......not the shooter...ugh!
You are so wonderfully articulate!
