Wendell Hoffman M.D., is a specialist in infectious disease and the patient safety officer at Sanford USD Medical Center. He received his undergraduate and medical degree from The University of South Dakota. He then completed his residency training in internal medicine as well as a fellowship in infectious disease at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Hoffman has been part of the medical school's faculty since 1987. He's now a clinical associate professor of internal medicine.
